Hydrotherapy:

What is Hydrotherapy?

The application of water using different delivery systems, at varying temperatures and locations, to maintain health and treat disease states.

How does Hydrotherapy work?

When different temperatures of water therapy are applied to the body, it causes changes to the circulatory system. The circulatory system is predictable, and can be manipulated to increase or decrease flow in specific areas, dependent upon the temperature and location of the application. This allows the practitioner to increase or decrease circulation in specific areas of the body to get a desired effect.

Hydrotherapy can be used to increase detoxification by increasing circulation through our organs of elimination leading to enhanced waste removal resulting in cleaner blood. Increased circulation also leads to increased nutrient and oxygen delivery to organs and tissues.

What conditions can hydrotherapy be used to treat?

Hydrotherapy increases vitality, circulation, detoxification, oxygenation and nutrient absorption while decreasing muscle tension, inflammation and stress.
